About Us

     The Dalhousie Equestrian Society, DES, provides a place for students, attending Dalhousie University or Kings College, who share a common interest in equestrian activities, whether they be competitive or non-competitive, to network and become involved with the horse community and industry in Halifax and Nova-Scotia and make connections with other students with common interests.

     The society holds fund raisers, arranges group outings, social nights, trail rides, and even orders 'Dalhousie Equestrian' clothing for members once a year. The DES is also home of the Dalhousie Equestrian Team, a competitive horseback riding team of 5-12 that compete throughout the year against other maritime universities with similar programs.

     If you are interested in joining the Dalhousie Equestrian Society, contact us at ride@dal.ca, and we'll be glad to add you to the mailing list and get you involved in the next event. You can get more involved in the society by joining our facebook group, and by adding us on Dalhousie's online society site, tiger society.
